QUİNCE BORANI OF KIRŞEHİR IS NOW AMONGST GEOGRAPHICAL SIGNED PRODUCTS.
As Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the geographical indication application we made for the “Kırşehir Quince Boranisi” meal was accepted by the Turkish Patent Institute.
Mustafa Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: The importance of gastronomy tourism and geographical marking, which is gaining importance as an alternative tourism type, is increasing day by day. Local foods have an important place in the travel preferences of tourists, especially in recent years.
Local foods, which are a travel attraction, are also effectively used in promotional activities.
I am happy to share this good news, which will serve many purposes such as supporting local production and rural development, protecting traditional knowledge and cultural values, and contributing to tourism by promoting our city, with all the people of Kırşehir.
One of our most important goals is to create a brand city by making geographical indication studies within the scope of the strategic plan of our chamber. The precious city of Anatolia, Kırşehir, which hosts thousands of years of history and culture, has always attracted attention with its unique local flavors. Kırşehir Quince Boranisi dish is one of our important regional delicacies, where meat and quince are used together, attracting attention with its unique taste.
Mustafa Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: I would like to express my gratitude to my teammates who contributed to our project, from the application stage to the preparation of the documents; I wish our Kırşehir Quince Boransı Dinner to be beneficial for our city.”
